Website redesign for small businesses

Website redesign for Barrie and Simcoe County businesses

Most small business websites do not need to be thrown away. They need to say clearly what you do, work on a phone, and make it easy to call or ask for a quote. We help you decide how much to change, then do the work.

Improve, redesign or rebuild?

Three levels of change. The right one depends on what is actually wrong, not on how old the site looks.

  1. Improve what you have

Best when the site is editable and the problems are on a few pages: a vague headline, a buried phone number, a hard-to-use form, a layout that breaks on phones. This is what our Website Tune-Up ($199 CAD) and Growth Upgrade ($399 CAD) cover, up to 3 existing pages each.

  2. Redesign the structure

Best when visitors cannot find your services, pages repeat each other, or the menu no longer matches what you sell. We reorganize the pages around the services people search for and the action you want them to take. Quoted after a teardown.

  3. Rebuild from scratch

Best when the site cannot be edited, is on a platform you no longer pay for or trust, or is too slow to fix. We build a new site and move your real content across. Quoted after a teardown.

What we look at before changing anything

The same checks we use in every free teardown.

  1. The first screen on a phone

Can a visitor tell within a few seconds what you do, where you work and how to reach you, without scrolling or zooming?

  2. The path to contact

How many taps from arriving to calling, booking or sending a quote request, and does the form actually work and confirm it was sent?

  3. Service pages and wording

Does each main service have its own clear section or page, in the words customers use when they search, with your service area stated?

  4. Trust where people decide

Are your licences, insurance, warranties, real reviews and real photos placed next to the call to action, not hidden on an About page?

  5. Search basics

Page titles, headings, descriptions, broken links, and which pages already get visits and must keep their addresses.

See the kind of change we make

Northline Electrical is a fictional business we made to show the process. It is not a client, and no results are implied.

  1. Northline Electrical before and after

Five specific changes, each tied to something a visitor needs to do: a headline that says what you do, a quote request up front, tap-to-call, trust signals near the top, and named services with area and hours.

  2. More before and after concepts

Fictional restaurant, dental and electrical examples on the home page, each labelled as a demo.

Questions people ask

Straight answers. If yours is not here, ask it in your teardown request.

  1. Do I need a full redesign, or just improvements?

Often not a full redesign. If the site is on a platform you can still edit and the problems are unclear wording, weak calls to action or a poor phone layout, targeted improvements are often the better value. A redesign makes sense when the structure itself is the problem: visitors cannot find your services, every page needs rewriting, or the site cannot be updated. The free teardown tells you which case you are in.

  2. What does a website redesign cost?

Our Website Tune-Up is $199 CAD and the Growth Upgrade is $399 CAD, each covering up to 3 existing pages. A full redesign or rebuild is quoted after the teardown and a short call, once we know the scope. Prices are in Canadian dollars.

  3. Will a redesign hurt my Google rankings?

It can if pages are deleted or their addresses change without redirects. Before changing anything we list your existing pages, keep the addresses that already get visits where we can, and set up permanent (301) redirects for any that move. We do not promise rankings or traffic.

  4. Do you only work in Barrie and Simcoe County?

No. We are based in Innisfil and work with businesses across Simcoe County, including Barrie, and elsewhere in Canada and the US. The work is done remotely and by email, so you do not need to be nearby.

  5. What do you need from me?

Your website address, what you want more of (calls, quote requests, bookings), and later your real photos, reviews, licences and service details. We never invent reviews or results.
